Happy New Year to all ELAM members old and new!
We are delighted to invite you to our annual trip to France to take part in our Circuit based training weekend at Folembray in Northern France. We very much hope that you can join us for this our pinnacle social and riding event exclusive to Elam members.
For those who attended last year your feedback suggested that it was one of our best so far. The hotel was relaxed and comfortable, the staff attentive and the restaurant food was tasty, and service was slick. So, after an exhausting year for most of us, we decided to keep it simple and will be revisiting the traditional French town of St Quentin. Located just 20minutes from the track and being close enough to the port leaves riders with plenty of energy to face the track the next day and/or to venture further (after dropping their luggage), to explore the regions great roads and scenery.
For those who haven’t been before, St Quentin itself is steeped in history and full of fascinating art deco architecture, luckily the hotel sits at the foot of one of the most famous and grandest, the Basilica which overlooks the hotel in which we stay. Want to explore on foot? Take just 2 minutes and you will hit the hustle and bustle of St Quentin’s beautiful square where many bars and restaurants don the perimeter, offering huge flexibility for food and beverage. A fantastic place to sit and people watch and let the world go by, and for those of you who want to explore the region, the town of St Quentin sits in the heart of the Picardy area. Here we are surrounded by parks and forest with some great roads to explore on your bike if you so choose.
At the hotel you will find 3star plus accommodation, breakfast is extensive the staff are extremely friendly where nothing is too much trouble.
We are pleased to announce that the dates for this year’s weekend event have been released, now is the opportunity for you to check diaries and make sure you are free to attend.
