ELAM was formed in 1997 with the aim of improving road safety for motorcyclists. Although we focus on the North and East London areas, we always welcome members from elsewhere. Our members are all ages, from all walks of life and ride all sorts of bikes, from Harleys to Hondas, from CX500’s to 996’s.

We are a non-profit organisation (registered charity No. 1062952/0) run by a committee that is elected annually. Details of the committee can be found on the Contacts page.

Many of our members not only join simply to pass their IAM RoadSmart test, but remain as members to create a friendly and social club.We publish a monthly newsletter and have an extensive social calendar of rides and events. Including regular social evenings – normally with a guest speaker and many ride-outs to places of interest, using the very best roads along the way.
